Crisis Management & Emergency Response

We provide crisis management and intervention consulting and training at the Wilderness Institute, including first responder training scenarios. Additionally, as a licensed training provider for the American Red Cross, we offer Wilderness & Remote First Aid/AED/CPR training.

Our Camp Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) program offers crisis management, response, and intervention consulting and training for camps and conference centers. Our training equips camp administrators and field leaders with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to respond systematically to a range of incidents, natural or man-made. We utilize the latest information and hands-on exercises to help tailor an emergency response action plan for specific camp programs.

Adventure Program Operations Support

Our program services deliver technical support for your high adventure program operations. We enhance risk management and emergency response procedures, implement preventative maintenance schedules, bolster internal safety practices and standard operating procedures (SOP). This includes staff development, training, and procedure manuals that meet or exceed national standards.

We also offer an external program safety review, giving instant feedback on the standard of care, performance quality of your staff, and insights on program design regarding camper safety, hazard reduction, and accident potential.
